GOLD FOR GOLDEN DROP It's two from two for the International Chardonnay Challenge champion wine of 2006. Landmark Estate's Earls Chardonnay Reserve 2004 has won a gold medal and finished in the top 10 at the Chardonnay du Monde competition in France. In October the wine, made from Gisborne grapes by Rebecca Salmond, for the Auckland Vitasovich family operation edged out more than 500 others from all over the world to win champion wine of show at the Gisborne event. That victory gave it entry to the prestigious Chardonnay du Monde (Chardonnay of the World) event. more...
